Caring Altogether on Romney Marsh

A local charity reducing loneliness and isolation

working across Romney Marsh, Tenterden and parts of rural Ashford

Meeting Points are social drop-ins in villages and coastal communities throughout the Romney Marsh and parts of Tenterden areas.  The Meeting Points are run by volunteers, supported by CARM's Meeting Points co-ordinator. Meeting Points provide a local point of contact for meeting old friends and new, in a friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments are available.

Meeting Points also provide a useful source of information and access to a range of services. Depending on the interests and needs of its attendees, they may have regular outreach services such as Hi-Kent (for hearing aid batteries and tube cleaning); or visits from Citizen's Advice and others. Local Community Wardens often drop in, and guest speakers visit to give information about their services as well as other interesting topics. Most Meeting Points also enjoy games and quizzes, and get together for lunches and outings. Many firm friendships have been made at our Meeting Points.
